James Douglas Cooper – Creative Director / Exec. Producer

James is a Director and Creative with 20 years experience both in Australia and internationally. He was formerly Creative Director for CENTR, Chris Hemsworth’s wellness app & brand, overseeing filmed content & some of their most successful trans-media campaigns. Other previous work includes directing for Apple, Headspace, Visit California Tourism, Hulu, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo. James has directed short film projects starring Hollywood talent, including Golden Globe winner David Oyelowo (Selma, Gringo) and Oscar-nominated Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine). While spending time on the agency side, James’ art direction work in London included innovative projects for David Bowie and Paul McCartney. Creating highly visual work, James’ passion for storytelling is felt through every authentic moving image, captured together with engaging performances. He prefers to create within an intimate environment, working with a small crew and sometimes shoots projects himself. James has delivered guest lectures at USC School of Cinematic Arts, UCLA Extension Entertainment Studies and School of Visual Arts, New York City. His award-winning films and commercials have been screened worldwide.
